Walk to D'Feet ALS 2006 So, I've just started bloggin only about a week ago. And I see how great it is, the potential to reaching out to people. As I registered my team, Dad's Detail, for the Walk to D'Feet ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) I figured what better way to spread the word.
a little background:
My grandfather passed away from the fatal disease in 1997 (I can't believe it's been almost 10 years).
My parents and I Walked to D'Feet for the first time 5 years ago.
I started volunteering for the association in planning the Walk 4 years ago.
We started getting donations and running the Kids Korner 2 years ago.
Our team is growing - so is the Walk - but we need more. More walkers. More volunteers. More donations. More sponsors.
Everybody can find some way in which they can help.
So, I'm starting this blog to show the behind the scenes in planning the Walk. And I will post our needs and our stats as we get closer to Saturday, October 21, 2006.
Registration has just begun, so get a head start - start recruiting and start raising money.
